When a famous star passes away, they often leave behind more than memories. Many also leave homes, money, businesses, and valuable rights to their work. In most cases, these things are passed on to their children or close family members.

But every story is different. Some children received large fortunes without problems. Others faced debt, family challenges, or legal issues. Here are the stories of several celebrity children and what they inherited after losing their famous parents.

Before he passed away, Williams made clear plans for his money and property. His three children, Zelda, Zachary, and Cody Williams, were named as the main people to inherit his estate.

They also received rights connected to many of their father’s creative works. His careful planning helped make sure his wishes were followed after his death.

Martial arts legend and actor Bruce Lee died in 1973 at a very young age. Even though his career was cut short, he had already built an impressive fortune. His estate was valued at about $10 million, which was a very large amount at the time.

According to reports, Lee’s estate was divided between his wife, Linda Lee, and their two children, Brandon Lee and Shannon Lee.

Brandon and Shannon each received 25 percent of the estate, while the remaining share went to their mother. Shannon later became one of the people helping protect and promote her father’s legacy for future generations.

Her estate included about $6.8 million in personal belongings and a Los Angeles home worth around $18 million.

Many of Fisher’s assets were placed in trusts. This helped provide financial security and careful management of the estate for her daughter.

Lisa Marie Presley became the only child of Elvis Presley and inherited one of the most famous homes in America, Graceland.

She later helped turn the property into one of the country’s best-known tourist attractions. Along with managing her father’s legacy, Lisa Marie also built her own music career as a singer.

After Michael Jackson died in 2009, his music continued to earn huge amounts of money. His albums, songs, and other projects remained popular around the world.

His three children, Michael “Prince” Jackson Jr., Paris Jackson, and Prince Michael Jackson II, now known as Bigi Jackson, benefited from the continued success of his estate.

Paris Jackson became the most well-known of the three. She built her own career as a model, actress, and musician while also carrying on part of her father’s public legacy.

Joan Rivers’ Daughter Took Charge of Her Mother’s Legacy

When comedian and television star Joan Rivers died in 2014, her daughter Melissa Rivers took over much more than family belongings.

Melissa already had a successful career as a television host and producer. After her mother’s death, she gained control of Joan Rivers’ brand, fashion collection, and future media projects.

She has continued to honor her mother’s career by working on documentaries and other projects that celebrate Joan Rivers’ achievements in comedy and television.

Leaving behind a large estate does not always mean life becomes easy for the children of famous stars. While many inherit valuable homes, money, and rights to creative work, they also take on the job of protecting their parents’ legacy.

Some have used their inheritance to continue family traditions or build successful careers of their own. Others have faced financial struggles or difficult personal situations.

These stories show that every celebrity family has a different journey. Behind the headlines, inheritance is often about much more than money. It is also about responsibility, family, and keeping the memory of a loved one alive for future generations.
